About Me
I love teaching second grade! This is my second grade picture when I went to Carl Sandburg School in Wheaton, IL. This is my 4th year teaching second grade, but my 18th year teaching at Big Hollow. My husband, kids, and I live in Antioch. I have 2 amazing sons, Nick (Junior at the University of Nebraska) and Briar (Sophomore at Antioch Community High School). I have two German Shepherds (Daisy and Axl), and a Black Lab ( Dakota- the baby). I enjoy camping, puzzles (of all sorts), baking (yum!), gardening, and reading! I love all subjects, but my favorite is math. My favorite mathematician is Archimedes- he did all of his complex calculations in the sand! My favorite scientist is Nikola Tesla- a genius that harnessed alternating current! I am a huge Chicago Bears fan too!
Mission for the Class
I want students to enjoy learning and become the best they can be!
